    The Dove Blue pulley in the BD motor makes it look stock for sure!!! 😉

    Alright… this may have crossed the line?

    I’m down with the conversion, i just wish it looked anywhere near as good as an upright aircooled motor. At the end of the day, I’m just stoked that someone is driving this old ass car and enjoying it!

    Still rock solid. I took my intake off two weeks ago to address the soft fuel line issue. Turns out I scored the hard lines with the knife I used to cut the original hardened line off. That was causing my minor recurring leakage. While it was off, I notice a few areas where the coolant was seeping also. But all in all, an everyday driver now that the Passat is gone.

    Been working on the swaps in my shop. Hopefully I can get a few of them taken care of shortly.

    No water temp gauges for anyone. Nobody pays attention to them until it’s too late. So I’m just putting 1 dummy light on the dash. I did one in a bay last year, now all of them in my shop have them and Squareback as one now. Don’t know my driving temp, I’ll only know when it’s 205 degrees. 205 isn’t bad, 240 is. Old super ran at 185 all day. Square seems to like 185 normal, or 190 around town on 100+ days. Each swap runs at a different temp. People think that’s because they have a 180 thermostat it needs to run their, no!!

    I’d love to bring my dog!! She is my only hold down here at the house. But she’s not exactly a lazy dog either, she’s full of energy.

     

    Pete I’ve been self employed since early this year, I got a few new pieces of equipment. Selling it would help push me forward. I do industrial and AG balancing for my real job.
