Dam I’m slipping here! It’s a thermal arc 300gtsw with the water cooled tower. Overkill for anything i need it for, 300 amps is stupid, aluminum I’m 230 range.
66 beater, correct no fill rod. Just cut the 2 90degreed pieces and sanded them so they would butt together.
i buffed this square the other day.

Store them away for now. Then you can sell them years from now when someone really needs them. ?Pat KKeymasterFebruary 18, 2018 at 11:21 amPost count: 1517

another lesbian mobile off the roads… I got the whole car for 1/2 his asking price. Yank the known running motor, sell the new tires on Craigslist, I’ll have a junkyard price engine without the guess work.. I’m not a junkyard engine fan much anymore..I’ll let the weekenders use them.?

Are most of your transplant engines EJ22’s? One of the students at school wrote off his 1999 Forrester. It ran and drove fine apparently with 140k on the odometer. I don’t have access to the car but from doing a bit of research it looks to be either a EJ25D (DOHC) or a EJ251 (SOHC). I can get the whole car for a song. $375. Any advantage or disadvantage to either of these engines? I would hate to buy it and not be able to use the engine. (Sorry John. I couldn’t find the private message button to keep this off the forum)Pat KKeymasterFebruary 26, 2018 at 8:03 pmPost count: 1517

Jeremy is most likely a 2.5 single over head. That’s what’s in my square. It’s a great motor, if your going in a type 1 based engine bay, it will require cutting.
A 2.2 will fit in the type 1 style engine bay without cutting shit up.
Thats a good price too!
