Finally got back on my junk today and got the pedal assembly sorted, ran a new clutch tube and brace for it.
I picked up a pedal bracket for a Porsche and have it setup for an oval assembly due to the longer clutch arm. I’m going to double check tomorrow to see if a later one will work tomorrow if I just run the clutch tune angled towards the shorter clutch arm.
Yeah a 58 up assembly have a shorter distance there. The 58-63ish are cast version like oval.
this reminds me of my Pre A build… 😉 😉 😉 I swear we can use VW junk to make anything drive…
Never make someone a priority, that makes You and Option. 🤔🤔🤔🥲
Any progress? You still got that deluxe rusty bus?
Sweet, good to know. I couldn’t use the shorter version due to the clutch hook inline with the side of the tunnel. So, oval assembly it is. Thanks!

one badass build for sure. And yeah I just want to get it going. I’m not going to get another project until I get it going. Just selling, not buying.

a little bit today. I got the shifter setup today. I just want to scratch something off the list each time I jump on it. A little progress is better than no progress.
I probably should’ve kept the bus, but I sold it a while ago. That thing was the rustiest bus I’ve ever owned. ?
I’m using a vw swing axle trans with Porsche 930 flanges so I can use the 911 axles. I used a late shift rod and shifter. I just shortened the rod. I got lucky that it lines right up. I had to raise the trans so everything has ground clearance. I got the shifter housing idea off one of the previous builds on here. It shifts into each gear so I’m pretty stoked! It’s only tacked in, still have to finish it, but it works! I’ll have to bent the shifter back, it hits the dash right now. But that’s what I got going on today ????
