That sticker was from the P.O. who
lived by the base for a few years. It wasn’t from the original owner. I confirmed that with the last owner who owned this bus from 1983-2016. He just was at the Dothan afb for a couple years in 1991.
I’ll say! All that red dirt makes the buses POP!
This was last Wednesday at midnight. I scrubbed it clean-clean, installed the cleaned tank, and the cleaned/tested heater. New starter, battery, cables, boots, brakes, oil, heater cables, throttle cable & bowden.
Hell of a hustle for sure! These fast paced projects are fun but sure kick your ass!
Johnny was talking about my bus build and reminded us that we went from a painted shell of a barndoor to driving to Cali in 3 weeks?? in scarface ?
Melvin is picking up the Bus next week sometime between Monday – Wednesday. He will call you guys before he picks it up.
YEAH! Thats the dude with blue slantback truck?

Yep. That is the guy. He lives about 25 miles from me. His main business is hauling cars for Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks guys between Milwaukee and their vacation homes and spring training, etc.
Tom, you won’t notice if this bus goes missing, right? ?

im a realist. For the record, 100% of every single thing I own is always for sale. Possessions are cool but they are not too important to me. I would only miss the memories I could make in the bus. Shoot me a price that I CANT turn down and anyone can own this bus. Same goes for my OG 64 deluxe.
I have more fun finding another bus. I actually got my eye on a 52 BD that needs a lot of work 😀
