JD makes a good unit. Did you go for the power  set up, or sticking with the old Arm Strong model ?

Oh yeah John… we got the hydraulic bender.. Model 4   and three sets of dies… 3/4″ 1″ and 1.5″  180, tightest circles they had..  I think we can do seat frames with this bender…. Look like the tightest 3/4″  I have seen!!!!

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

I’m proud of the assortment of tools we have around here… Doug sewed a headliner on our juki last week…  we can blast a car, paint a car, rebuild a car, make billet parts, bend any tube, build Bus chassis on our bus frame jig,     One stop shop….8-)

Tire machines kick ass. I use my old mans tire machine when I need one.

    I had 3/4″  1″   1 1/2 ”   1 3/4″  1 7/8″   2″   Didn’t use the 2″ that much, but was very glad to have the dies when needed , and used the 1 7/8″  a lot more than I had expected.

^^ I think JJ got this more as a shop “toy” then a tool, cause he can.  Can’t wait to play with it. I’m thinking a rear engine cage/bumper for my baja will be my first project.

We will build it if it comes.

I had a great MLK day. I took delivery of my new to me Case CX250D excavator/track Hoe. I have alwys went with Cat but this one came along with warranty and low hours for a 2016 model. We had a new hydraulic thumb added and will put it to work Doing demo here on the yard. it is also good for hauling offsite for demo / clean up jobs. Case has a patent on a DPF that does not require DEF fluid. So may offer some cost savings and headaches there. have you heard anything good or bad about the new CASE equipment Andy? If you have serviced or worked with any.

No DEF your golden!!! I haven’t heard or seen anything good from that stuff.

I haven’t seen anything negative on them yet. Today I was out working on some John Deere stuff.

Andy , I read your response and got excited too! No DEF would be great. I meant to say Their tier 4 system dose not use a DPF, So it dose not loose all its power and you don’t have reburning cycles or costly filter replacement to deal with. Here is a quote from there site and a link to a video explaining it, If you interested.

    Fuel Efficiency
D Series excavators use an SCR Tier 4 Final solution that’s cleaner burning and provides up to 14% increased fuel efficiency without sacrificing power. As an after-treatment system, SCR lets the engine run at peak performance to provide full throttle response throughout the work cycle. And best yet, SCR is simple. No DPF regeneration. No new maintenance. No downtime. Just pour and go.
