Pulled this off the dolly today. Started cleaning out cable tubes.
We will build it if it comes.
Them dirty ass cable tubes… Clean cable tubes, make for smooth operation of cables… 😎 Pats kicking it’s ass… One part at a time… 😎 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
What cleaners are you using to clean the tubes?
Also what method? Like what are you shoving through it to get them clean?
Tim
^^^ Stiff wire, solid throttle cable works great, small piece of microfiber towel, break parts cleaner.
Squirt a bunch of brake clean in the tube, push the wire through, bend a small tight hook on one end, bait it with the microfiber towel, pull from opposite end of towel and hope your karma bank is full so nothing gets stuck or breaks.
Finished cleaning cable tubes this morning. Break hard lines next.
We will build it if it comes.
Thanks Pat. Uh yeah the Karma thing. Hahaha. That leads me to the next question
So any advice on how to get a cable out that’s stuck in the tube. Not sure at the moment which one but it has the sheathing. And it’s stuck. I’ve sprayed all kinds of shit in it and tried pulling it out with visegrips clamped to the end and pushing it out with a solid rod.
Also it’s a deluxe bus with belly pans that are in good shape and do not need to be removed.

Balls! Must be choke cable…That doesn’t sound like much fun ahead!🤭

Assembly is still in forward motion!!!

I am amazed that this is going to be a work truck getting all scratched and dented. That is nuts.
Break hard lines yesterday. We’re decided to run a dual circuit MC on this one since it’s going to be a work truck.
Welded in a stud for a tee to the front brake circuit. Need to run both fronts off the residual pressure valve because we’re not running disc brakes.
I will m finish up the last couple lines when the parts arrive.
We will build it if it comes.
Trans and front beam installed yesterday. My dumbass “test fit” the trans. Don’t forget your shift rod boys. Doh!!!
Rounding up steering gear this morning.
We will build it if it comes.
This truck is getting close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the engine tin and what not should be here soon.. We got an A1 and I think Franz ordered you a brand new type 4 cooler fan shroud yesterday!!! We must finally be out of good one’s!!!!
I think it has come out better than anticipated…. and I imagine, it will not be a shop truck… Probably sit in the warehouse right next to the other Barndoors…. 😎 😎 😎 Quite a collection KB has assembled!!!!!

Few more bits and pieces on yesterday. Gas, break, and clutch pedals all in. Steering box and shaft as well.
Shift rod and hockey stick don’t quite line up.
Pulled trans to clearance trans frame horn tabs where there hitting the transmission case. Hoping this will solve the issue.
We will build it if it comes.
Where’s the 25 hp and crashbox??
