Made good progress on this yesterday. Finished pulling all of the wiring harnesses to their locations.

Modified domelight harness from a bus to a single cab. Domelight installed. 

Looks like we need to source 3 special clips to secure the dome light wire to the pinch weld seam along the back of the cab.

Passenger door window mostly assembled,  need to order a couple of small bits to finish it up but that won’t hold up install.

Rounded up parts that need to be sent out for chrome. 

 Semaphores sanded and prepped for paint.

We will build it if it comes.

I was chasing threads on the emblem yesterday and one broke of studs snapped off.

Welded a new one on. Body working the front side. Respray later today  

 

JJ is knocking out pod assembly. Looking good!

 

Pass door window in.  Front and rear window seals on, ready to go in.

We will build it if it comes.

Kick ass day yesterday….. all the glass is in…. door frames in…. pod assembled and wired in.. Franz located my wiper stuff… so I will get that in today also!!  I’m about to repaint that emblem…. I think we will get onto those reducs and check shit out and start prepping for trans assy!!!!!  😎 The beam already looks rebuilt.. It’s just gonna slide back in there….. 😎 I’m gonna start putting pedals together today too….. 😎

Those correct tail lights look awesome.. and those late one’s we took out will look really good in the Pamper… 8-0

Epoxy sealed axle tubes in the sweet spots you can’t reach with just one session.  

Sealed and painted. Trans assy tomorrow.

Theme for today was transmission.

Had to pull some parts from your old split trans. Had to hunt some part from the stock pile. 

 

Clearanced  nose cone for the lollipop adapter.

Seamless axle boots by Franz.

 

Coming together.

 

Realized backing plates I pulled from the spit case trans this morning would not work due to the donor redux boxes have been switched to later outer half’s. Backing plate fitment issues.

 

We had a set of later backing plates sealed and painted, score!!!  We will need to order some brake parts to  accommodate the later backing plates.

Transmission all together and sealed!! 

 

We will build it if it comes.

Thanks Josh!!!! Thanks a ton..  Thats why I say “It’s the greatest place on earth to get a Volkswagen fixed”… 😎  😎  This is all we do, day and day out, there is no variance, and we have fewer distractions than most…  😎  😎
