Running into a few missing parts.

Lever shocks. Do you guys know anybody who may have spares? We can get them rebuilt at Apple Hydralics in NY. Eveything for sale on samba is in Europe.

Heater knob is a special piece. Kai has one listed on samba. Should we get it?

I have some late 52 -early 53 zwitter lower shock mounts. We could make 1/4” plate uppers to adapt telescoping shocks?

Yeah. We need them. I’ll get a hold of Johnny.

How about the heater knob? If I don’t hear from you guys this morning, I’m going to buy the one Kai has.

Dude.. that seat… That was insane tedious crazy time consuming work..  Pat had blisters on both hands!!!   But damn he fucking nailed that seat frame.. it is primo now.. 😎    I can’t think of a more worthy seat to spend some time on… The oldest truck on the planet’s seat…. 😎  😎

Sound like we have lever shocks on the way, but they will have to come here, then head straight to New York to be rebuilt… He also bought a correct heater knob from Germany I think….  Split window beetle style…  😎

So I don’t see any test drives in the near future…. 8-(

Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎

Running into roadblocks on everything I touch. I had to order a bunch of parts.

    Wiper grommets from Belgium

    headlight dimmer switch from Michigan

    7mm fuel petcock from Denver

Lever shocks from Johnny Main in Canada…. He’s sending them to Apple Hydraulics to get rebuilt for us. Not really a hold-up as we can install them anytime.

    Bumper going on today.

I assembled the 52 and earlier steering column…Its a beetle unit on these piano hinge barndoors…soo cool.
