Yeah I consider myself extremely lucky to do what I do.  There is money to be made as a professional UAV/UAS pilot…RC cars and that type of thing, not so much. There are only a handful of guys that actually make a living racing cars. as far as owning a track or hobby shop, yeah that’s a tough business to be in…the internet is king for that stuff now…we have 2 local hobby shops and I only go there for glue when its an absolute emergency…There is really no place to go and buy the equipment we use in giant scale airplanes, I order everything. RC cars are really the only thing in the shops in my town…and even that stuff is very limited.

This video has nothing to do with R/C, but it is aviation related. It’s a little over an hour long and is Brian Shul, SR-71 pilot, giving a brief synopsis of his life in a motivational speech. At the end, he tells the LA speed story. If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, just search  “LA speed story” on you tube.

Bums me out that I can’t find enough extra time to do some RC stuff…  but unfortunately.. it seems the more I work, the happier I stay.. 😳  🙄  🙄  the fewer focuses, the better I can focus on what I am doing…. damnit…  🙄  🙄  🙄   I should just delete the RC section I guess….  🙄  🙄    I had a lot of fun times racing rc cars in the late 80’s and 90’s… 😉   hell even some in the 2000’s I guess…  seems like I always get back into it at some point…

I walk by my old YOKOMO 4wd thats screwed to the wall outside all the time… I miss doing that…. I miss all that aluminum, allen head carbon fiber belt drive badd ass cars….
