Do you have any extra parts you want to get rid of?

I have a complete ’59 steering wheel/horn ring with all the internals and a VERY roached ’58/’59 turn signal assembly.  If you’re interested in either let me know.

Pete, You ever put any thought in checking out this show? http://www.euroautofestival.com/ VW is the marquee car this Year. Bit pricey to field a car but not bad if you check out all that’s included. It would be cool to see your Ghia on the golf course at Verdae greens though.

That looks like a good show….thanks for passing that along.

Here you go…it’s got a few hairline cracks but you have to look for them.  It’s solid and all of the horn ring pieces are there.  The cracks can be fixed for $175 by Ruben (“belairman” on the Samba)….I was going to get those fixed then sell it for more but would prefer to let it go as-is.Ghia5Ghia4Ghia3Ghia2ghia1

Turn signal.  It’s complete, but crusty.  But maybe the wizardry of JJ/Franz could make it usable with some cleaning.  Wires are in good shape and not cut, circuit board looks good:

    Turn1

    Turn2

    Turn3

I don’t see a way to PM on the new site…email me at pete@knology.net if you’re interested in either/both piece(s).

Pete, it’s a great show. My 65 won best paint mainly for my pin striping in 2011. We won a corporate award and were invited to the banquet and awards presentation. It was fun watching folks take pics of my VW as it sat in line with an original GT40 and a couple Lambo’s  as I was waiting to get registered . It is one of the few times you can field your VW with Million dollar euros and folks still admire them. I don’t think you would be disappointed.

Nice shot on the cooper river bridge Pete. I need to get back down their! Me and the wife luv getting a weekend their and eating at Hyman’s!

No sir! We will take you to a real restaurant! And it’s not the Cooper River Bridge anymore. It’s the Arthur Ravenel!

Sounds like fun Scott. I will definitely look you up next time we are down. Are you going to the Farm next month? I am almost certain to be there with my family.

Got some 6v LED brake/turn bulbs from http://www.culayer.com.  Flashers work with the same Wolfsburg West 6v flasher relay that powered the filament bulbs.  They’re spendy but worth it.

    Bulb2

    LED/filament comparison:

    LED both sides:
