Well, there I was… Got everything hooked back up, turned the dizzy counterclockwise a red hair and… boom, fired right up! Got out of the cab idling and saw a massive oil leak. Fresh, clean 5W-30… about half a quart. Looking like the oil cooler blues, fosho. I got several different types of bushings from Brothers, evidently picked the wrong two. Gonna pull it next weekend and see what’s up. All advice appreciated.FranzKeymasterJuly 3, 2018 at 8:09 amPost count: 3377
Oh man! That is no fun. The seals should be strait type. Not stepped.PaulParticipantJuly 11, 2018 at 4:53 pmPost count: 26
Sunny the wonder truck lives!!! Got the engine back in today and went for a 30 minute putt… NO LEAKS!!! Ended up having to use the stepped seals along with three spacers. So far, so good. Tentative delivery to Wild Bill 21 JUL… and it’s going on a trailer. Now onward to Saggy Butt Fred and the type 4…FranzKeymasterJuly 11, 2018 at 6:47 pmPost count: 3377

Brought Dad his bright yellow SC last August on his 81st birthday. We went for a little putt down some Arkansas country ass roads and upon return, I told him Happy Birthday. He just stood there with both hands on the tailgate… for about ten minutes. First time I ever saw his wit escape him.
I’ll have one of the girls show me how to post pics.RustabusParticipantJanuary 18, 2019 at 6:44 amPost count: 1847
