Looks awesome JJ! Damn that thing is bright
DANG!!! This is an great looking truck. KCW makes it look easy.
Rear axle parts
Front axle ready for install. Its easier/lighter to build the brakes once the beam is in. Original grease zerk tie rods are the best. This beam should float down the road. Everything is “right”.
assembly on this is going to be smooth and quick…. Clean shop has ALL their ducks in a row!!!!! πΒ they have a bus builders kit from WolfsburgWest!! π
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
I think this bus looks super happy, sunny and bright! ?????????????????????????
I love going on adventures in our bus!!!
glad to have this in clean shop status.. but I still have ALL the removables to blast, poly, block, probabky 2K, then sand and paint… thats a lot if work..
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
well… 3 removables are about ready to paint..Β Β πΒ the front doors and engine lid… I think I will get those prepped and painted before I move onto something else…..

All new fag bearings front and rear. The good/expensive stuff. Should last another 50 years.
Ready to install the transaxle. 4.12 r&p with .82 4th. Will cruise nicely. Seamless axle boots too.
Rebuilt and tested wiper motor.
New wire harness from Wolfsburg West. Super good instructions.
Check out the date and old address on this WW invoice. 23 year ago. Before WW was a major parts supplier. Wild Bill has been working on this truck for a while.
I can’t look at this truck and not smile. Unless you’ve done it before, it’s hard to describe how good it is watching this truck come together. Y’all ROCK!!!
All new fag bearings front and rear. The good/expensive stuff. Should last another 50 years.
Wow Franz, thats pretty insensitive… How would a bearing have a sexual preference anyway? ??
Pat wants to drive on Friday. I’m not sure. Maybe we can do it.
I’m about to paint some wheels.
New brake lines going in right now.
Speedo rebuild and dash assembly yesterday.
More parts, og hardware, more stuff to blast and paint.
Rebuilt steering box from wolfgang.
Pat is very optimistic… I like it…Β π
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
I washed the rattle can paint off of the steering box and painted it up proper with some single stage urethane.
We need wheels to drive. I painted them just now. They look great.
All the OG hardware ready for install. Pat has had a fun day.
