The internet archive has several years of old KCW pages archived.  I don’t know if any would have the complete gallery though…the few I checked had the gallery index and the first couple pages of type II projects (John’s 54 single, Don’s Bike Bus, etc) but lacked the photo content.

Some of the galleries from this 2015 archive seem to work…was able to view some photos of the dumped pumpkin, etc.  Don’t see the album gram Dan’s single…thought it was pre-2015?

Paul is it safe to assume we are just gonna clean up your tranny and motor down to the long block clean up and reassemble kinda thing??

I wondering on Stance….  The look.. BFG”s?  or something more stock??

BD’s seem to be sucking up much time…  It will be my baby soon..8-)

Thank you for researching the OG paint. Grey is out. Not especially a fan of the white over yellow either. Maybe a different stock color.  Still a little time left to decide.

Spot on with the engine/tranny. Figure I can always swap up later.  Stock stance. BFGs? Are those tires, or a reference to my last wife?

Sealing Wax Red is a good color choice.  JJ will push for Dove Blue.  🙂  Both were options for your truck year.  If you want to give a nod to your dad Postal Yellow was a special order option, and trucks painted that color would have come with black bumpers, rims, emblems, etc. instead of silver white.

BFG’s are BF Goodrich All Terrain tires.  They have an aggressive tread pattern and look great on stock height type II’s.

    I wouldn’t rule out the grey….  it’s nice… original and clean looking.    Dove blue is always a winner… 😎

BFG’s rock.. they are good quality tires that last and work!  Mud terrains are my favorite.. like the pamper has, BBOE has etc. Franz has the same style on his camper too, Chads high roof, and both of Kevins SGPG campers too…

I want to start making progress on this again this week!!!!!!!  damnit!!!

Check out General AT Grabbers. I have those on my bus now. Like them more than the BFGs I had before. On the color, is Velvet Green an option?

I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.

Velvet green is pretty awesome color… creamy green.. like dove blue is creamy blue..    So your “Old Man” is going to be driving it??  Probably should keep it all stock even tire size… so it’s a bit easier for him to get in and out of.. Maybe even slightly lowered if he is into that?

Knowing that your old man was going to paint it yellow, tells me he wanted something bright that would stand out.

My color choices aside from original grey.

    Forrest service green

    DOT orange

    Turkis(orignal VW color in 61)

Stock size highway radials? BFG 215/75/15 all terrains is what we install on most buses. They do have more aggressive tread, and some side wall tread/design.

Velvet green, dove blue, SWR… all excellent options and all look especially nice paired with the BFGs on the silver/white rim. I found a photo of a grey SC y’all did, went to OR then sold to an Aussie in 14. Great looking truck.  There’s a yellow/white SC on the Samba that looks pretty stellar too. Gots me some drinkin and thinkin to do…
