First photo shows how it looked in about 2011. The next owner removed the notched dual spring plates and the 3.5″ lift spindles and it now looks like the second, except I have put black stock wheels back on and also stock looking running boards.
It has Porsche 944 CV’s in it so I’m going to try to take it back up a bit.

After we talked today I looked at some of the original builder info.
When it dyno’d at 115 HP and 128 torque at about 5k RPM it was a 2007cc with a single Weber 44 IDF.
Per my records the engine is now a stroker 2016cc, which is a 78.4 crank and 90.5 pistions. A 2007cc uses a 78mm crank according to the builder.
It now has dual Weber IDF 44s and Steve Tims heads which the builder says made it run cooler with a mileage increase from 15 to 20. I don’t know whether he meant the heads or the carbs. He put the duals on in 2011 so it’s possible that they haven’t been touched since.

Some primer on Chris schwartz 36 tin.
Porsche super style fan shroud for Chris’ 36hp. Painted today.
Good weekend of paint work for Chris. Ready to wrap and ship.
Looks familiar! 😉 Very nice, Franz! The oil filter detail is killer!
Damn nice tin work!!!
Parkway project #1 of the day – check!Gotta keep on top of that brake fluid… plus JJ gave it a quick tune up and it sounds much better now 👍🏻
Gotta love it when the phone-diagnosis holds true!
That car sure loves to sleep at KCW!
I dunno what to say about this car or this project or the guy who WAS working on it🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨. But one of the problems solved them self.
i was thinking yesterday. The original owners manuals did not say “take to dealer”. Our cars came with a TOOL KIT and a book on how to adjust and repair!!!!!!!!!!!
I put the final sine on Chris Schwartz 36hp stuff and boxes them to ship out.
Man that oil filter came out awesome! Nice work
That is something I have been thinking about a lot lately John. It is crazy how we have transitioned from vehicles that just about anybody with some ambition could work on to complicated computerized components that are just designed to fail and be replaced.
I sure like how you guys operate shop. That looks killer Franz!
Working on Sidehills bug today. JJ rebuilt the carburetors yesterday, then we did a ton of carburetor stuff today, replaced some fuel line, looked everything over… Franz is doing some more tune up now and then we’ll take it for a little test drive! -
