Almost done with this phase of baja mike’s build. I have a couple more bars and gussets to weld in today, then I think we can call it. Mike’s going to take it home for dry assembly/mock-up.

Look at all those extra holes in this late model trunk. Race patches tacked in…no sense trying butt weld and grind everything resto-perfect. DSCF0636DSCF0639

This is my favorite part. 1/4 mile of welding wire?

Got Baird’s replacement heater box in the mail. Cleaned and polished the engine bay paint. Ready to finish assembly and see if it’ll run.

Well as usual..  a customer comes in with a simple project and a budget… and almost before you can get going working in it things grow and excitement builds and budgets are blown… Franz and Pat Kicked that jobs ass… and now the customer doesn’t want to take it home and do this and that or monkey around for a year.. He wants to build a baja!!! 😎  😎  😎   If you exceed their expectations, they usually with exceed their budgets.. 😎

Chris is grinding shit and sanding tube and getting things ready to paint blue I think… 😎
