I βmember Ben making these out of generator housing a few years ago.
That was a long night! That generator case was harrrddd. Good memory though. Glad to see they’re still in use. π
I'm at the age where "fuck off", "fuck you", and "fuck it" answer most questions.
Plan is to be at KCW this afternoon to work on 64DD for a few days..
Oh yeah!
Awesome Bubba!!!!!!!!! How ya getting there????? I know thatβs not what it looks like at your house right now!! π
OK DOKEY… I’ll schedule open for ya…. π
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
parkway project for Dan,, Modify this tow bar to work with this buggy…. πΒ I heard Dan is in 12 hour shifts at the rail yard this week!!! 8-(
PISMO BEACH Here come Dan the man!!!!! πΒ π
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π

Thank you so very much. This is going to be an epic road trip. Hope I don’t load the bus down too much.
Ha, I was thinking about your bus being loaded down. Thinking about the clutch namely. Maybe we should put a new stage 1 pressure plate on just to be sure?
Engine is almost ready to go in the bus. Later today.
Empi sump with filter element.
The naked stroker is going to have a fresh outlook on life… πΒ hell Dan… I think you will be able to drive your bus home towing the sand rai!!!! π
another parkway project that really needs everything but they only want the minimum… πΒ The customer came in the other day and said the defrost is weak…. I snickered…. π

I want Dan to have a problem free trip. Driving to AZ then northern California from Colorado towing a turbo sand rail.
Rear axle service today. It had a leaking axle seal, broken motor mounts, leaking input shaft seal, and cracked axle boots.
Moving on to the front axle. I think the wheel bearings are OK. Maybe I should pull the drums to look at them? I’m going to grease the link pins and torsion arms tonight, then repair the throttle pivot (it has a wollowed out hole).
Engine ready to install, fully plumbed, cleaned the carbs, and set float heights.
Stage 1 1700lbs pressure plate, new disc, and main seal.
Double barrel draft tube is vented to the 1/2 valve cover. No breather box needed.
Looks great Franz. I know when I leave the shop that my bus has been dialed in by the best. It’s going to be a long drive. Nice to start out with confidence.Β Fresh motor and a fresh clutch, can’t get any better. This bus seems to get worn down a bit. Must get used some.
