Which I bet means he already found and fixed the trans noise👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Brake system is kicking my ass this morning.
Good news is headliner and sunroof are 100%.
Seals.
All together and opens/closes smooth as butter.
Franz working some tig magic to extract the broken gland nut.
Motor stabbed and started last night.
We will build it if it comes.
Runs and drives again! Waiting on a couple parts before she’s ready to head home.
We will build it if it comes.
Test drive was good. The new transaxle feels great. Engine got head torque+valve adjust, clean+set point gap, set timing, oil change, and new fuel hose/clamps all the way back from the tank. The front brakes are not good. I could hear a strange noise, I pulled the drum to see worn shoes and a bent adjuster. I have some new shoes to install and it looks like the drums will need machine work.
The brakes are awesome now!
Here are the tires I was suggesting 1/2” taller than stock 195/70/r15
or nexen snow tires. Same size.
Thank you so much Franz and Pat. You guys always do fantastic work. Always treat my heaps like first class. It’s truly appreciated.
Awesome.
I reckon a rear window seal is the biggest hold up on this one now… 😎 We ordered or were sent a later one.. 8-( too big… I bet if I searched for like a hour.. I could find one.. But I’m gonna pass.. 😎
Need to get Jesse’s trans all installed and brakes working again, ready for an engine stab, but Jesse wants to come down next weekend and piddle with his motor, change the fan shroud etc.. I “think” we found and acceptable dog house to use out back?? maybe???
We have a white super out back and a bay to work on next I think… brakes and what not.
Yup. Just waiting on a rear window seal. I did look around but only found cal-look rubber.
Pass seat was busted in a couple spots. Lower back support brace.
And one of the back rest pivot/mounts was broken off as well. Used an old drill bit for a new one.
Good to go.
We will build it if it comes.
Clean shop views of the morning 🤙🏼
Next up. Early bay in for a disc conversion and other love that’s needed.
We will build it if it comes.
Starting on rear wheel bearings. Noticed the emergency brakes are not hooked up and installed backwards. Engine main seal leak too = caused slipping clutch.
Pat and I kicked a bunch of work on the baywindow today. Rear wheel bearings, rear brakes, and a Empi disc brake kit.
