Doris’ 75 super beetle break-in finished and running great. I had some problems getting the #4 injector to fire…It seemed like a corroded/bad connection at the injector resister block plug.
75 fuel injected 1600cc

David / Jim’s bug is driving around this morning with a decklid! 👌🏻 I’m not sure how anyone else drives this cause I hear the seat is all the way back and I could reach everything perfectly 😂

This rig KICKED my ass all weekend..  A lot of the pain was from getting up and down all weekend on my knees on the concrete.. But this is one of them cars… the lift would just be in my way….   and being raised 4″ and narrowed and tubbed 6″ you can imagine, everything is tight as fuck!!!  Changing a spark plug wire on number 1 requires a jack so you can get at it from underneath!!!!!! yeah… suck balls… Everything had to be modified and tha PUMA shroud is so fucking in the way… I am damn sure a regular 36 style will fit in there..  and give sooo much more room to the poor soul who has to work this….

OK… Objective… get the deck lid on, and air filters…  Make it drive, fix a few dents… simple right…8-) 😎 😎

I made it run good with better simpler carbs, got air filters on it, and put the awesome decklid $$ on.. 😎 😎

Fucking engine is gonna have to come out!!! Generator is dead as far as I can tell…  fuck!!!!   Everything I did this weekend was just for mockup… cause it all has to come back apart!!!!!!!  fuck….   ohhhhhhhhhhh    well…. it’s mocked up!!!!! 😎  It drives pretty good… but needs a bit of tweaking here and there…

Andrew Doris 75 is fully dialed-in.
Did you know that if you open the oil filler on a Bosch A.F.C. Fuel Injected engine it will die? Because it looses vacuum to the air flow meter.
