Franz, you are a lifesaver! After you came to the rescue, we cruised all the way home. The Vintage Speed exhaust made our conversations very easy to carry on. I thought the first refresh 10 years ago was the best. But this second refresh with the same motor kicked ass.  So glad to be in the friends and family. Thank you KCW for the last dozen years.

I think the air compressor was pretty cool!!!!

Fingers crossed that parkway stuff slows to a halt soon….  But ya know. it’s hard to say no to people… thats how we end up with so much parkway work… But I know Franz would rather do resto work all day everyday…. But FRANZ is the best I have seen at Parkway work… cause he really understands an aircooled volkswagen, from top to bottom inside and out, every cable, every wire and color and where it connects…  He is unreplaceable!

If I were to decide we are only going to do one style of work… what should be do??  Resto/ race work??  or parkway work??

    Probably shouldn’t change anything… 😎 but it’s something to think about… 😎

Stay diversified.  You never know when one of the 3 would dry up.  At least you have options.

Ragdaddy is here doing g a complete brake job on his 66 camper. Master cylinder, hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, re packed wheel bearings and machined drums. We also found axle boot and axle seal leaks.

I also set him up with some heavy duty 63earlier t2 rear brake drums modified for strait axle / 68 beetle brakes.

Omar’s 56 was running strange the other day, we did a leak-down test and found #3 exhaust leaking bad.image

I took the engine apart and found #3 exhaust valve guide deteriorated. You can see the brass chips everywhere. Not sure why this would happen??

I took the valves out tonight. #3 needs a guide, #4 has a poor seat pattern…rust?

We’ll send this head to Painter’s Grinding in Denver for a valve job. Omar, I think we should send the other to be certain that both of your heads are right.
