Installed Chip’s engine and mounted the full-flow oil filter in my favorite spot…behind the torsion housing inside of the frame. I had Mfcp Parker store build some stainless/Teflon hoses for bullet-proof reliability.
Done and driving later today.65DlxParticipantOctober 12, 2021 at 11:45 amPost count: 30
Wow! Looks fantastic installed. Can’t wait for the test drive. Everything’s coming together and looking forward to see it in person. Great posts!!!!!ColeBModeratorOctober 12, 2021 at 12:02 pmPost count: 2272
I wanted to eat off that motor last week when I saw it. So CLEAN! Sounded great during break-inPeteParticipantOctober 12, 2021 at 12:45 pmPost count: 1027
Looking good Franz. Nice touch on the custom oil lines – if I send you some measurements could you get them to make a set for my bypass oil filter setup? I’d particularly like to get rid of the long 90 degree elbow that comes off of the filter canister side that runs over the front of the coil.FranzModeratorOctober 12, 2021 at 5:47 pmPost count: 4405
Pete, I’m sure we could figure something out. You’d have to convert to -3 or -4 jic with pipe thread adaptors. I think the case is tapped for 1/8”npt on the return?
Tim, they are both Pertronix…the red one is the new style that adjusts dwell for max energy out of the coil or some bs.FranzModeratorOctober 12, 2021 at 5:53 pmPost count: 4405
Raining cats and dogs today, so I’m going to wait for a test drive on chip’s bus.
Washed out the last of the Moab red dirt.
Finished oil lines and filter install. Oil filter 1515 installed a little tighter than normal to prevent the seal from blowing out.John JonesModeratorOctober 13, 2021 at 6:28 amPost count: 8200

She’s ready to go. I put a few miles on her this morning, seated and adjusted brakes, filled the steering box with oil, and checked the carburetor jetting with an o2 sensor…Should be good for Phoenix. 👍FranzModeratorOctober 15, 2021 at 9:42 amPost count: 4405
Rooster’s cruise last night with Chip and Kris. Going away party of sorts, they moved away from Grand Junction last month. Road tripping to Fountain Hills, AZ today.mtnbusParticipantOctober 15, 2021 at 6:13 pmPost count: 1473
