Man that looks great! What an awesome job you’re doing on the bus. And glad Painters has the engine apart now. Hopefully not too much damage. Thanks KCW for the work on this deluxe.

No problem Chip! Its been fun making your mechanicals tip-top. I went over all the bolts on the front suspension, tightened the link pins, re-packed the outer wheel bearings, lubed shift rod + brake rod, lubed beam/spindles and replaced the throttle linkage… It was held on the the backside of the pedal with that piece of wire for years. 🙂

Also, replaced the brake fluid w/new and bleed the system. Vent wing and safari latches fixed. Ready for the engine.

I drew the short straw…door window rebuild on a baywindow today. That is $700 in parts on the floor.

Power washed and scrubbed all the cooling tin clean this morning.

Then, modified the draft tube to be double barrel type. Clearanced pulley tin for oil line fitting. Welded some used thermostat flaps in the open position. And made some heat riser delete plates.

I just finish spraying some good utec500 urethane on the modified parts and touching up some of the old paint. Also painted the alternator pulley black like stock.

    Assembly tomorrow.

Cole, Bubba and I ran break-in on Chip’s engine tonight, not a drop of oil leaked. Ran perfectly. CB Performance carb linkage and welded exhaust flanges.
