Pats 16 valve major tune-up. Head gasket, and timing belt + full detail. In a low mileage original owner scirocco. I think an original battery would look better in there, but whatever.
Almost finished with the fuel injection to carb conversion on the 78 convertible. It takes a minute to do everything.
Beatrice is in for a transaxle rebuild. Popping out of 4th gear.
I pulled the engine. Ran a compression test. Once it was deemed in good condition. I stacked it with a new alt stand, end casting, intake manifold, fan shroud, 30/31 carb, and a oil bath air cleaner. The car got a tar board kit, trans axle mounts, and a low pressure fuel pump.
Its ready to drive. Hopefully everything else is good. “Other” problems at the end of a big job like this are frustrating.
Looks like a new engine.
