I don’t know how much he payed for them. My one friend has a Lennox but it’s a small machine. He still makes parts on it. Mr. Gene has a nice one and my friend matchstick has a nice one in California. The guy also had a vibra shear (?) It was a cool machine also. I see them for sell on Facebook market place for fair market value. There is also a Facebook group page for them

Thanks for the reply.  I wan’t aware of the nibbler group as I’m not on Facebook.  Looks like it may be a good resource for locating one.

Nice to see others using old-school tools and techniques.  IMO, if you have one welding setup, O/A is the way to go. It can do everything, though at the expense of a bit more HAZ.  I’ve migrated to mostly using the TIG for body panels, but I like how I can see a LOT better with the less shaded lens and a torch.  Plus, the weld seems easier to finish off.

It would be great if you could show the leading procedure once you guys get to that point.  I’ve never leaded and I’m gathering information on the best ways to do it.

    Thanks!

I talked to Mr Gene on Easter Sunday. He is doing well and is just working in his shop in California. He told my son it was so good to hear his voice. 😭😭😭 We are planning on going to see him in October for his car show if we don’t go sooner. Hope we can come out to grand junction in September for the family reunion!

We just found out that the rebuilt engine we put in the fast back is locked up after only riding around for a week.. this MFR is getting a type 1 engine…I want to sell it.. Brady won’t let me.. he’s a calm thinker so I guess we will just put a bug engine in it.  It’s a Fn pain in the butt car. But Brady loves it. Making memories

This is the second one that a local guy has built for me. I’m not saying it’s his fault. But I really don’t want to build it again.

I am interested in doing the Subaru swap also.. 2.2 just turn the key and go.. I really know nothing about air-cooled vw engines. I wish I did but I don’t.
