Who wants to go riding?! 😎
Happy Fathers Day, JJ!!!!
We went out for our first ride together this morning at Bangs Canyon!! My first real dirt bike ride ever, and I think it went pretty well!! No major wrecks or anything! It was tons of fun!!!! I can’t wait to practice more!!
time for JJ to get a bigger bike though 😜

Sand… I really hate the sand in my 50… 😎 Audrey isn’t crazy about the sand either.. I told her to gun it and lean back!!! 😎John JonesModeratorJune 21, 2021 at 6:00 amPost count: 8107
The tl came with the stock shifter and carb.. I think maybe we should take it to Newbolds sometime and get a full look over and tune up..
You have to take your foot all the way off the peg to shiftJohn JonesModeratorJune 21, 2021 at 6:28 amPost count: 8107

I’ll keep an eye out. I resurected a sweet XL185 last year for my father inlaw. In Honda We Trust.alykatParticipantJune 21, 2021 at 7:24 amPost count: 656
I think you need an earlier model TL250 John. Like maybe a 1975 edition.BBWBParticipantJune 21, 2021 at 9:24 amPost count: 1097
You have to take your foot all the way off the peg to shift
That’s because of the rear set foot pegs of a trials bike. The rear sets help with weight transfer and traction, better position for standing, and keeps your boot from kicking the shifter into neutral while riding a section. We used to mount them straight up and upshift with our boot heel, and downshift pushing the shifter forward with the sole of the boot.
