These vintage bikes remind me of my favorite movie of all time, Cycles South:

Colorado, New Mexico, weed, hippies, acid, skiing, Mexican brothels, surfing, communes, motorcycle racing…pretty much a guide to living.

Bikes take up less room than cars. 👍 Whats up with the little one?

Had this follow me home tonight. Old TL250. Also a basket case ’49 AJS.

Love the old TL 250. I tore up a lot of back country roads and swamp land in Georgia and Florida on those things.

Thanks. After cleaning the carb and welding up the broken exhaust, it purrs like a kitten. Have to get into the forks and replace seals/oil. Those are on order along with new plastic fenders. I have a set of ‘Tubless’ sitting in the shed, I’m going to put them on the TL with new trials rubber. Lots of work ahead of me, but I’m going for mechanical fixes and riding it.

Did the same on my Yamaha, took it for a fifty mile ride last Friday. Runs like a top. Franz, you should check out a You tube channel with Michael Waller. He’s building a XS650 Scrambler using an old British BSA frame. He also stuffed the XS motor into a Yamaha XT500 frame. I’ve pretty much binge watched all his builds during the stay at home request of our awesome government.

Got my pit bike back together… Thanks again Travis..  Trade ya a t-shirt for a tube…. 😎 😎

Corporate and I did a monument run yesterday AFTER dinner…  (We have turned into a typical “old couple”…   News at 5pm, dinner at 5:30 pm, and on the recliners after that!!!  😎  )   But anyway.. She made some awesome fish taco’s… and then we hit the road… Went all the way over to the Fruita side and back on 340…     That monument never gets old…. 😎

My biggest problem riding a two wheeler… My right hand goes to sleep… constantly… 😎  😎

i wish i was closer to you guys, id love to ride and see that awesome scenery. if your right hand goes to sleep, you need to install a throttle lock so you can take your hand off the bar. common issue especially on longer rides.

    something like this: https://www.atlasthrottlelock.com/

One of my favorite rides on the Yamaha when I was up there. Did it about six times I think, and one and a half to Gateway. Good times!

Picked up this lil scooter over the winter. Gotta figure how to move it (build a rack or something) so I can take it camping.
