I have always worn flex fit hats,, but I like this trucker hat Mark sent me… 😎  I may do my next run of hats trucker style….  speaking of which.. I am about out of decent shirts.. about time for a new T-shirt run…. 😎

DC is looking great… I spent another day massaging paint!!!  That roof is tit’s now…   it was nice before… but it had a few pieces of dirt in it.. now… it’s smooth like glass….. 😎

So…. Bumpers today?  Vin plate tomorrow? engine in wednesday….Roosters thursday, friday and saturday with MIKE! 😎

John…the VIN plate package is with FedEx.  They claim it will be there tomorrow by 10:30am.  I soaked it in rust remover last night, because it had some light rust between when I cleaned it up last time (months ago) and last night.  Is there anything that can be put on it so it doesn’t just fester back behind the engine?

Mike, we’ll clear coat the vin. tag, that will protect it.

Got the rear brakes together this afternoon. Drums on, system bleed, ready for wheels .

Franz is working on modifying early e-break cables due to the big nut trans swap.

Dialing in the small details as we go.

We will build it if it comes.

Pat installed and bleed the rear brakes. Then we couldn’t resist installing the wheels to roll it out for the first time. I think the hubcaps look decent. You?

The patient is walking again!!!  It’s good to see the DC back in the open air sitting on it’s own tires.

Franz…To your point, I think the hubcaps look decent.  Unfortunately, decent isn’t enough.  I think the hubcaps will look better painted to match the truck (perl grau) with the emblem matching the emblem, bumpers, and wheels (white).

Your vin tag arrived Mike. Franz cleaned it up and cleared it already.

Workin on bumpers this morning.

If you don’t cut down the front over rider bolts they end up denting the ORs from the backside when you tighten them down. 

Front ones ready to bolt on. 

Franz is all over this thing getting in dialed in.

We will build it if it comes.

Good day today….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Got that VIN IN!!!! 😎

Bumpers all assembled and ready to go on!!!!!!!!!!   Full american bumpers are awesome!!!! 😎  😎 Franz got our darned apron to fit correctly, added a plate for the cargo door lower rod floor reinforcement, I fixed something I wasn’t happy with on your drivers dog leg. then prepped and repainted it… Also painted some super awesome hubcaps!!!! Franz will handle the VW with a brush and silver white…. Front Bump stops went on, gate bumpers and a few other items…. Tomorrow will be awesome… Bumpers… engine…. oh man… about done then..  😎

I was painting those hub caps yesterday and thinking how nice they are… and how THANKFULL I am for Wolfsburg West!!!!!!   Between them and Gerson…. You can build a whole bus!!!!! 😎  😎  They have made our lives easier and easier each year.. 😎

Mike…not sure of your plans… and you probably already made them…  but you are more than welcome to stay here at the compound Saturday night…. I’m sure you would rather leave your truck parked here than in some parking lot… and you can stay up all night drewling on it;… 😎  We can put it on the lift so you can check it all out…. 😎  I’ll help ya load up sunday morning if ya want… 😎 just offering.. and anyone coming with you too of course!!! we have room for about 5….  😎
