Always makes you feel good when you see that little stampmdubgParticipantJune 6, 2019 at 10:03 pmPost count: 294
Not sure I need the Cowboy’s scheme, although folks ’round here’d appreciate it (I’m transplant from Long Beach, Ca). I think there are really only 2 options for the tin colors, black or matching Perl Grau. I’m guessing the matching grey will be too much sameness. The black might be a nice contrast/stock look. What do ya think?John JonesKeymasterJune 7, 2019 at 8:02 amPost count: 6731
boring ol black huh….. 😎 Pats about to start hanging tin… 😎John JonesKeymasterJune 7, 2019 at 1:38 pmPost count: 6731
shiney black just happened… 😎 I’m going to do some more polishing down low… with it on the lift.. I see more spots to buff… 😎
Franz has started working his way into some steering assy… I gotta paint a few more parts though..
Pat is working on your gas tank seperating panels.. He ran to true value for a stick on seal for em…
progress is happening! 😎Pat KKeymasterJune 7, 2019 at 1:57 pmPost count: 1427
One down one to go.
We will build it if it comes.mdubgParticipantJune 7, 2019 at 1:58 pmPost count: 294
Awesome! Love the progress. I say grab a sharpie and have the team sign the back side of the separating panels before you seal it. That way when I open the smugglers compartment in 20 years, I’ll get a chuckle. Might be too late tho.FranzKeymasterJune 8, 2019 at 7:57 pmPost count: 3640
I stopped by the shop this afternoon to do some misc assembly. Cleaned the throttle cable tube really well and ran the cable with bowden tube, shift couper, nose cone mount, ground strap, steering box and knee knocker installed…found something weird with on the Brazilian steering arm that I tried to transfer to the rebuilt Wolfgang box…it had a larger splined shaft and nut. So we’ll need to locate that piece. I don’t think there is anything steering box wise at kcw.mdubgParticipantJune 9, 2019 at 7:49 amPost count: 294
Two steps forward…
I did a quick search on TS last night.
Does this look right or might this also be a brazilian? I reached out to the seller last night. Haven’t heard back yet.BodgocoParticipantJune 9, 2019 at 8:55 amPost count: 62
If you need it I have the one that came off the box in the garage. I’ll ship it up to Franz tomorrow. Bus looks awesome!mdubgParticipantJune 9, 2019 at 10:58 amPost count: 294
Bo, to the rescue! That would be great. It’ll probably get there quicker from you and you know it’s the right diameter and spline count.
Let me know what you want for it and shipping at michaelwgreen at yahoo dot com.
