Watching all the work on my DC, got me jonesing (no pun intended) to turn a wrench. Started a bike project. I decided to run all the lines and cables down the handlebars of my Harley. I’m adding 14″ apes with chrome controls. I don’t want any external lines, so I’m putting on an internal throttle and a hydraulic clutch.
So far, the hydraulic clutch is installed, not yet plumbed.
Pulled the tank to get access to the wires and throttle cable. Once I get the bars delivered, I can measure how much I need to extend everything.
Cool Mike!!! I like Harley’s… But have not spent nearly enough time on them yet.. Hopefully in years to come!!!!
A few of the problem area’s.. After blasting.. or maybe part way through, I am going to order your metal and New Gates from Gerson… 😎
For a 1960…. I think your double cab is pretty damn nice!!!!! 😎
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
and a couple pictures I found on the camera from friday…. 😎 Bondo Angel…. Your truck was very very thick with material… 😎

Last of the bits pulled from the shell.
Chris started stripping the front floor. Looks like it was rusty and they buried it in bondo them rinolined over it.
Left and right sections will need replacement maybe the whole floor. We’ll see after blasting.
Stripping removables.
Driver door has some “repairs” done. Will need some more love again
We will build it if it comes.
I’m glad I brought my truck to the right shop! When you are done, I’ll know it was done right, with the pics to prove. No more cover-ups. Loving the updates!

Best kind of advertising ever! Congrats JJ/KCW, and congrats to you Mike for a stunning DC in the making. I love watching the updates.

Hold up….so you’re saying that’s not a legit repair technique? The broke high school version of myself respectfully disagrees. 🙂
Chris started blasting yesterday on this. Looks like he’s working from the top down.
We will build it if it comes.
Lookin’ good gents. That roof is a bit wavier than I thought.
Wow. There was a lot hiding under all that bondo.
Lots of material… from lots of Previous owners… 😎 I talked with Klassic Fab yesterday,, Your seamed gates are on order, and being made now. 😎

Very nice! I can’t believe how fast you all worked my DC! Those gates are gonna look sweet. This weekend, I’m gonna work on getting the tiny little block that is next to the latches off my old gates. When I dropped the truck off, Franz said those are impossible to find.
blasting is going good!! not to bad under all that mess 😉
