Yeah, 205 is probably better. The 215/75 can be tough to get in an early rear wheel well.

    firestone destination?

    goodyear assurance?

I’m not sure what all the cool kids on samba say.

I think we had some geolanders on our dc before I switched them to bfg’s. I liked them

Franz, I do like the BFG’s, but I think I’m going to go for less aggressive tire.

I think that’s a good idea, especially for your use. I run bfgs or grabbers on gravel roads around here and they throw sooo much gravel, and rocks as big as 3/4″ at my fenderwells! Hate to see that on your truck. The off road tires are cool looking. But they are heavier, rougher riding, and the gravel thing. Most peeps, including me,  are not offroading to the extreme that the max traction is needed, it’s just for looks. And the weight makes a big difference, even with a larger motor.

Removables are sealed and look awesome… about to lay down some L21…

Been going through parts…. I don’t see a speedo, turn signal switch, headlight switch, wiper switch, or wiper motor, linkage assy…..  Mike… Are these things you still have.??  Your wiring looked “ok”.. but for $300 I think we will stat with a new one.. this one was already installed last paint job.. so it;s got paint etc on it…

John.  I have the speedo, gas tank, seats, & interior panels.  I need to get box big enough to send you the gas tank, I’ll probably put the speedo in there.  I’ll get those out in the next day or so.  I’ve been slacking.

Sent a few parts in early Dec. Franz said they arrived on Dec 7th (bottom of page 8).  They got there right before the disk brakes arrived.  I know the wiper motor and linkages where in that box, I’ll check on the rest.  Printed a list, which was in the box, so I can confirm when I get home tonight.

New wiring harness for sure.  I want to minimize the risk of electrical gremlins and fire, so I wanna start fresh with the wiring.

Can’t believe we are talking about assembly!

Only send that gas tank if it’s really really really nice… Otherwise, I suggest a new one…   OK, I will find those parts… they are here somewhere…

Chris has been starting the sorting and cleaning of parts for assy…. I am talking about assy mostly for organizational purposes… and to hopefully nail a good parts order and not be missing stuff…  I’m gonna keep painting parts all week and try to make a kit out of it!!! For easy assembly!

Your backing plates for the rear are beat the fuck up… I’m gonna have to go through some of my stuff and try and find a better pair!!!   Disc brakes up front!!! Big nuts brakes out back… Your bus is gonna stop soooo awesome!!!!  😎

The tank is new and the petcock was rebuilt last year.  The OG tank had leak where the tank met the neck.  When that leaks on a DC, the cab fills with fumes and everyone gets a headache.  First thing I replaced.

Gotta have good brakes.  I have 2 little Double Cab fans at home in booster seats that I want to be safe.  They’re the ones that need to take care of this ride when I’m gone.

    Removeables look saaaaweat!

There is a lot of MF’ing tires out there and I don’t know squat about them.  Franz can you take a look at these:

    P205/75R-15

    -HANKOOK OPTIMO https://simpletire.com/hankook-p205-75r15-1010990-tires

-HANKOOK KINERGY ST https://simpletire.com/hankook-205-75r15-1022043-tires these have a high load rating than the OPTIMO

I also found some 195/15 that the “cool kids” on TS were chatting up.

    -THUNDERER RANGER https://simpletire.com/thunderer-195-r15c-th0315-tires?stmodel=ranger-r101&stcategory=other&sttype=light-truck&msclkid=d8b73f1784241dc96c6d634d9f11c02d&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Finch%20Shopping%3A%2018685%20US%203&utm_term=4579191051929303&utm_content=104833%3A%20Thunderer%20Ranger%20R101%20Tires%20195%2FR15C%20106P%20TH0315&utm_source=awin&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_content=85386-VigLink+Content&awc=15439_1554059104_9bc42c9a101dde8b7aed2db40abc5b96

Let me know if any of these are suitable and I can order and have’em sent to the shop.

Great to hear.  I hope the box that contains my OG windows is hiding in a safe place as well 😎  That one was in the bus when I dropped the rig off.

Gates are not gonna cut it…. 😎  I was hoping to not have to block these out.,. but they simply don’t match the rest of the truck…. 😎  Gotta block em… Like usual… I tried to save a step here, and it didn’t save shit…. I’m gonna let the epoxy dry and block out…  paint tomorrow hopefully… But we can keep on painting little things!!!!!  😎

The 195/80 tires always look kind of puny to me…probably because I’m accustom to the bfg’s

i say go for the load rated 205
