Well we all like it!!! Now we gotta match it… 😎
Pat spent all day welding and grinding, trying to hit everything… I think we are going to flip it over and do a few things next….Pat KKeymasterJanuary 3, 2019 at 8:06 amPost count: 676
Didn’t get this flipped but made goood progress yesterday. Went over the top side and welded up any little holes, small patches in a few spots, all the holes from the safaris, patch on the rear of the roof, fresh air box and what not.
We’re going to let this one rest a couple days while I work with JJ on Bubbas bus.
We will build it if it comes.Pat KKeymasterJanuary 3, 2019 at 9:04 amPost count: 676
Your motor just arrived. We also received your tins yesterday
We will build it if it comes.mdubgParticipantJanuary 3, 2019 at 12:16 pmPost count: 107
Understood on the pause. You gotta get the buses ready to role on the mega trip(s).
I’m glad the motor and tins arrived. Now you can marvel at the zebra-striped puma (shroud). 🙂 It’s an endangered species that is hardly seen in captivity 🙂John JonesKeymasterJanuary 3, 2019 at 2:35 pmPost count: 4046
I gotta tell ya Mike… I fear Franz isn’t going to use any of your tins.. 😎 😎 We are kinda particular about our tins…. 😎 It’s for your engine’s longevity…. I promise! 😎 and we put the miles on our rigs to back up our theory’s!! 😎mdubgParticipantJanuary 3, 2019 at 6:02 pmPost count: 107
I’m not surprised. I suspected they weren’t worth reusing (or sending for that matter). I’m wondering how many parts are reusable on that motor
I like the looks of that motor Franz did for Pete and the one on the “67 Wrong Side Driver” thread. I like the 356 look.John JonesKeymasterJanuary 4, 2019 at 6:21 amPost count: 4046
Franz always builds a killer power plant!!!!!! The standard 1914 tractor motor , some duals, an A1, stock tin= Bitchen, reliable, plenty of power..Pat KKeymasterJanuary 4, 2019 at 9:05 amPost count: 676
I asked our local paint shop to see what they could come up with for L21 Perl Grau.
Well get a spray out done and sent your way.
We will build it if it comes.Critter1ParticipantJanuary 4, 2019 at 6:48 pmPost count: 167
I’m sure Franz can get you into a “356 look” pretty easily.
Justin..... that's Justin in Spanish.mdubgParticipantJanuary 5, 2019 at 6:22 amPost count: 107
That’s great looking set-up! It might be a little difficult to tilt up an oil can in a double cab engine compartment.PeteParticipantJanuary 5, 2019 at 7:12 amPost count: 600
Hot rod a 36’er for it! 😉
(Just kidding….don’t do that. Stick to John’s 1914 suggestion. 😁)Juan 59 DDWTParticipantJanuary 5, 2019 at 3:21 pmPost count: 136John JonesKeymasterJanuary 7, 2019 at 7:10 amPost count: 4046
That’s a great color choice!

this is absolutely, the first time a color has been liked by all!!!!! The color they mixed us up last week looked pretty cool.. but what do we compare it to? a picture?? I doubt it….
