Happy it got there in one piece !!
A few pics of the process over the past couple weeks.
She still looks fabulous!!!!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
Nice. You’re going to have to start a resto shop with all these builds you have.

She does!!! 😁

Haha. No. Been there and not doing it again!
Finally had time to figure out why the truck wasn’t charging – just the DF wire on the regulator. Daily driver spec until it sells.
Had a friend come to stay this weekend and we pulled the motor out of the yellow Bus to bring it home for some TLC.
For sure – one of the best things about trucks.
A whole summer of project progress and didn’t get time to post until now – been working on a Bug for a TV programme, but can’t post pics until it airs.
Managed to take some time out to put the Sierra Yellow Bus on the road and take a Euro road trip in it.
Here’s a few pics of the work…it’s a BAY WINDOW, so not expecting anyone to get enthusiastic about it 😅
I fitted the slot mags for a 70s look but instantly didn’t like them. I ended up buying a complete split bus beam, some end plates to narrow it and a pair of brackets from Russ at old speed to run 944 Wilwoods…then I went camping a few times down dirt roads and realised lowered won’t work 😖
Problem is, I don’t like 71’s stock height with late wheels, so I started looking on TS one night and found something more suitable…
Ended up buying this Titian red/Beige grey 66 – the deal includes roller status with a tested big nut trans. I’m stoked, even though it means another big project. Need to finish some body and paint on the Bay and sell it, hopefully before the 66 arrives in a month or two. Pics:
I’d run stock rims with chrome caps on that Bay!! That red/white Bus looks like an Awesome build!!!!! Yeah!!!! 🙂
Yeah I’m pretty excited to be back in a split bus – my last one was this Mouse Grey one I posted on the old forum – built in 7 weeks from a junkyard special with loads of frame missing, then sold within 6 months when I got divorced 🤦🏻♂️
