Been bashing through that Polo project (Yawn) so not much except bodywork to report.

I did manage to do a little wet sand and buffing on the truck and ordered some parts….tires are here – 27×8.5×14 Kumho Road Venture. Just need to get the wheels and Hubcaps powdercoated now before they go on.

Been slacking on updates…

Polo ended up being a ton of work to get straight and then I kept having moisture problems with the new water based single stage paint. Didn’t help having to daily drive it through the winter while I painted it in sections 🤦🏻‍♂️ Whatever, it’s done now and up for sale. Just need to sand and buff the new paint on the drivers side.

Decided to let the new owner decide whether to lower or not.

Excited to start properly on the truck this coming week. It has to be ready to be indoors at the Volksworld show on 22nd March! 😃

Got the rims powdercoated and tires mounted last week. Happy with the look.

Decided to let the Yellow bus sit in the main until the truck is on the road. Buffed a couple of small spots for inspiration and worked on the locks some – no door key so decided to rekey all the locks to the same as the ignition (must have been swapped for an OG ignition with 2 original keys at some stage).

Found some cheap Westy Jalousie windows so bought them. 

Sliding door was stuck closed. Managed to remove the striker bolts and took the latches to a local shop to be ultrasonic cleaned. I’m doing a locks how to for Volksworld Camper&Bus magazine so I’ll add in a part about latches too.

Paint looks like it will buff out awesome 👏🏼
