Looks like you covered all the basis. Nice workπŸ‘

…that throttle pivot goes on the outside of the bracket though.

Thanks Franz, I looked it up in the VW Manual for 63-67 and it shows it the way I have it. I noticed it didn’t line up right so i will try putting it on the outside.

Yes we still have sand in the truck cab from cracking the windows for the cruise. Was it Tonys tent that was basically blown over the whole time?

The pictures in the manuals have been re-touched with illustration. There are a few instances where they are not correct.

I’m thinking there are better places to camp than in the sand lot…. 😎

Chip and Baird were talking about cruising somewhere out of town for Saturday night’s camping spot….maybe klondike bluffs or west water.

i was looking into a trip down there last fall and from what I remember, the area around Gemini bridge was BLM land and from what I hear you can camp anywhere on blm land within 500 feet or something of the access roads…however we Ended up not going and went up to boulder Utah and Bryce Canyon instead

I know Sonny has been working on the sand lot and watering it down. It was starting to get really hard last I was down there several months ago. I am sure I will be back down to Moab before the event and I can update with the current conditions.

Update on what I was told from Sonny, he is trying to get his dump truck fixed so he can get some small gravel to put in the sand lot to help with the sand.

We have been going to moab for car show weekend for many many years even before we helped kick this Caravan off again… 😎 😎

Hell yeah. I’m getting excited for this. Looking forward to another Lin tour.

Maybe we can convince Lin to do an over-nighter?…I mean he had that awesome baywindow camper now.

I say we meet up Friday, then take off Saturday morning with Lin to go find an awesome hidden camp spot.
