Kelly what do you think?
Far as I can tell he LOVES it… ๐ Been a nice chill last couple days hanging out with Kelly and Mary!!!
He’s off getting a trailer to haul it home on..ย Then start back towards Texas! ๐
Nice to put a ending to this chapter…. ๐ย Finishing cars is tough..ย The end of projects are tough… We have been finishing them up like crazy… and without taking on much other work…ย ย I dunno how to word that… There just seems to always be a lot of “free” time at the end of big projects…. You can balance that out with dirty shop hours usually… But I had to put a cork in the system for a few months to clean the slate up!!!! ๐ย I’m just glad to be getting through it… and still be ok… ๐ย and still be smiling.. and still friends… ๐ย ๐
Amazing barndoor ๐๐๐ Congrat Mary & Kelly ๐ป
I hope his trailer finding experience is better than mine.ย Turns out if you rent a Uhaul trailer in Dallas, drive it 2000 miles roundtrip, it is x6 cheaper than renting it in GJ and driving it only 1000 miles.
This is an amazing looking bus.ย Hopefully Kelly has an uneventful trip back here to Texas (except for the smiles and waves from bus fans on the road).
Soooooo glad I got to hang out with you guys before I headed to the front range!!!!!!! You guys are great!!!!
I love going on adventures in our bus!!!
Will be nice to have two new buses back in Texas. Not many shows left around here. The Ft.Worth is the first part of November, hopefully both will be there.Great job on both builds KCW crew…..
I’d like to see a pic of this rig in the Texas sun!!!!!!
Kelly mentioned starting to bring out his damaged cars at the end of August.. one at a time..ย ย First one. the Black Vert.. Then the 15 window… ๐
Thanks Elliot, hopefully these guys find their way to a Texas show or two.
Did yโall make it back safe and sound?
We will build it if it comes.
Any send off pics of it on the trailer? ๐
BD safari shafts popped up on samba again. More expensive than the windows.

We made it back intact late Sunday afternoon.ย Bus is unloaded and I’ve managed to take a few trips around the neighborhood.ย Bus runs great and I couldn’t be happier.
I want to thank John and Gretchen for opening up their home to Mary and I.ย We had a fun time hangout at the house/shop, the morning Baja run, which was one of the highlights of the trip and our quick trip to see Ron.ย I want to say thanks again to Franz and Pat for all the hard work that you two put in to this project.ย ย It was also nice to see some old faces and meet some new ones.ย Eric M., Daro and Jesse.ย ย Mary and I can’t wait to get back out see everyone again later this summer.

I’ll be sure and post some pictures up of the BD.ย Mary is already planning the trip back out there to bring the Vert in August.
Congrats, Kelly & Mary! Nice BD you guys have there!

I saw those last night.ย Funny how you were just telling me that those shafts sometimes show up on Samba.
Mary and I took her out today for a spin, even though it was 100.ย We ended up at the shores of White Rock Lake.
