I’m not sure of the process you guys use to detail Fuchs style wheels, but I wanted to share what I tried recently.
I found this rattle can acid-etch primer on Amazon, as a bonus it’s available in black. Wiped the wheels with minieral spirits, masked, gave a light wipe with a Scotch Brite pad to try to create some tooth, then cleaned once more before spraying the etch primer. It lays down really nice right out of the can, so nice that I hated to top coat it:
It sets up quickly and is recommended to paint 10-15 minutes after spraying. Time will tell how well it holds up and if it adds any benefit over direct paint.
Looks great! Hope the etch primer helps it last.
We will build it if it comes.
That’s how we do it too… black etch would be nicer, you can see the layer of grey if your not careful
Hoping Omar sees this.. I need s trans picked up at painters if you can😎😎😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 It’s paid for already
I’m headed that way in a little bit, I will pick it up this afternoon and bring it back Sunday! Happy to help 😎
Thanks 🙏
I don’t know where to post all my sappy posts, so I’m doing it here. Missed you guys this weekend, it was really fun, mostly Shasta guys. See you in February!
Can’t remember who said it first but I’ll say it again! “Yo! You ain’t a Baller if you don’t have one of these in your driveway!!!” What What??!?!?!?
