So happy that’s how I’ll go down in history!! KCW really knows how to live… how could you NOT stay up until 3 am multiple nights in a row in a shop setting like that?! ๐Ÿ˜‰ It was a week in a hot heaven haha

Shout out to Franz, Pat, Weston, Cole, Gretchen, Zach and, of course, JJ for putting up with me!! And of course William for letting me work on his stuff no matter how long it took me.

Soon I’ll be towing down my own split window and Will will be the one pumping the brake pedal for an hour while I bleed em!

First time I met this girl I was pretty sure she was crazy as fuck!

Glad to see a little bit of Willy calmed her down. Love you 2. ย Best luck of luck with the babies!

We will build it if it comes.

That’s one valuable piece of fiberglass!ย  Does it still have the 4 cam in it?ย  We have a local 904 which is the only other car I have seen with the same, Abarth steering wheel that I have on my Okrasa Beetle.DSC03091

Damn!! Thatโ€™s so cool. That car is the first time fiberglass was used in an automotive application.

Iโ€™m not sure what the first fiberglass car was, but first Corvette was โ€˜53.

My mild steel A1 low down turbo header had a little rusty problem a few weeks ago. The waste gate removed itself. So after a bit of brainstorming and whatnot, we decided to take my stainless A1 sidewinder off of my purple car and bolt it on the Ghia and fab some stuff. We made an up pipe and and waste gate pipe and exhaust and stuff. I ordered an intercooler that we thought would fit. It didn’t. Jason said hand me the sawzall. He cut off three rows and welded it back together. We plumbed it up and made a 4 inch intake pipe with a huge filter. My friend John was over and we told him that we needed a new turbo. He said hold on. I know the guys at Bullseye. Three days later we had this bad ass Borg Warner in our hands. Look them up. These turbos are years ahead of the old style that I had. Also Google BatMoWheel. Crazy stuff that is over my head. We put in bigger injectors and took it out and tuned it on the street. It felt awesome. I loaded it up in the trailer 2 days later and took it to Maryland for the VW Nationals to run in the Aircooled Streetcar Association class. You have to run a street legal car with tags and insurance on DOT tires. I wasn’t going to be competitive. I just wanted to be there for the event. Well I kept getting lucky and making rounds. Two cars that were way faster than me either broke or missed a shift. I ended up winning with a 7.40 @ 97.78 mile an hour car. The #1 qualifier qualified with a 6.63 so I was nearly a second slower. But hey, it’s all about finishing. I was so amped after winning that I drove 10 hours straight home!
