The DJ gigs went from 100 to 0 in one day. No work for months. I’m actually happy to have a forced break. I can’t say no to work and have been slammed for 15 months. I have had zero time for car work until now.

Ha ha ha ….no rest for the wicked…or insain !

Yep ,same here.Hate to say no to work and bringing joy to others.

With the hospitality industry closing down, after drawing chalkboards for 30 years, my business went from gang-buster to zero.

Guess we’ll just have to come up with new ways to ply our skills and talent.

After 29 years volunteering and organizing the Fairbridge Festival,we like others ,have had to pull the plug on this years event…17 -19 April.

We had 104 aussie and international acts booked over the weekend.

Fortunately, our federal government has realized the value of the Arts Industry and is offering support to those effected.

For my wife and I ,as sole traders,me with my chalkboard business and her as the Festival Event Manager ,the government is paying us $750 a week each, initially for six months.

Hold on tight …this is gonna be a wild ride.

    DO WORK

Yes John, we’re being paid to stay home, across Australia

A friend who was working 3 days a week for $550 as a casual employee…now get $750 with this financial stimulus.Work that one out.

The government has pulled out all stops to save the economy from collapse.

Our state borders ,land and sea ,were closed last night at midnight.Western Australia is the western third of the continent with population of 2.7 million. To give you a comparison,Colorado is approx 270,000 sq kms….W.A.is approx 2.6 million sq kms…. so a large area to lock down !!

    Stay safe

Thanks, there is a school in Utah that does this. Thinking of doing it . Making one for my father in law as a present. I don’t even know how to play a guitar but love a challenge and woodworking

What’s up folks! I still lurk about once a week. I have to see what the greatest group of VW folks around are doing. Glad to see everyone adjusting to these crazy times. I still working 3 13hr days Friday Sat and Sunday. They say we are essential because we deal with transportation. I am in inventory in one of the largest tire distro in the nation. Bout 4 million square foot facility. Lot of tires to say the least.

Anyhow wish you all the best and stay safe , have fun with Family, and turn wrenches! Got to be ready when the world says go again!!😜
