You are very welcome Travis. Glad to know that the last of my bugs is going to get the kind of attention it deserves. Have fun with it.NewboldParticipantJanuary 26, 2020 at 10:39 amPost count: 26
I keep going back and forth. So much! I think the practical direction is more class 11 style being I want a daily driver and it has swing axle but I already have some big fenders and John’s Jackman Off Road wheels, it could look so tough, and I do have one IRS conversion under my belt… So hard to decide but at least I have some core body stuff to work on while I hash out my vision 🙂WillyModeratorJanuary 27, 2020 at 7:57 amPost count: 990

Thats impressive! I assume Ice is much harder to work with than snow.RustabusParticipantFebruary 8, 2020 at 1:07 pmPost count: 1799
Yeah, a bit more finesse is needed. You can fuse ice together if it is cold but it is also brittle and can shatter easily!

How much of these sculptures are blueprinted out block by block and how much is freestyle, Rusty? Do they give you a lot of direction or just tell you what they want and you do it?CorporateModeratorFebruary 10, 2020 at 8:26 amPost count: 750
I’m curious about the significance of this theme? Why these critters in ice in Cripple Creek? Looks GREAT!!!!!! Impressive!

Cripple Creek is a sleepy casino town, they do the ice carvings to lure in people to gamble. We got to pick what we were carving this year. Usually the town comes up with the theme. And yes, we do start out with a general plan on how we are gonna stack and carve out the general shapes then we freestyle from there 🙂
