Here is a funny story I think I should share here. Me and my son had the pleasure of meeting Scott Sain at the farm this past season. I have been watching him drag race for years and never met him. He must have made an impression on my 7yr old son! He is learning about fables/tall tells in the 2nd grade right now. He is having to write his own fable. He is writing about a guy named Scott Spane that drag races the fastest VW Bug known to man. He drives the car up and down the east coast from Florida to Vermont and Drag races for fun at different tracks. He has a friend(no name) but he drives  the Green Growler. Its a green Karman Ghia  and Scott helps him make it faster and teaches him to drive.

He was telling me about it the other night and I was laughing. It seems Scott Sain/Spane is becoming a legend at my son’s elementary school. Thanks for taking time to speak to us Scott.

I don’t think so, at least not as far as I could tell… I was just super super wide so I think it throws the eye off.

I didn’t take any, but I did get a good look at it. Its basically the rear torsions back on the lower part, with the engine and trans and what not, then a tube frame chassis that connects to a separate full pan for the “upper half” that the body is on. Lots of braces between the torsion mounts on the top pan and the bottom, and shocks and stuff mount to the upper pan as well. Pretty wild… Its got a turbo’d motor in it to and straight pipe right from the turbo that are right at eye level haha. Heres a shot I found online
