Hi all!

Lately I’ve been working on making the KCW movies from the mid/late 2000’s easily accessible. I’m happy to say I created a plugin to achieve this and made it available to everyone today from the main navigation under Media >  Movie Archive. You can also click here to go straight there. About 70% of the videos are currently up, the other 30% are cropped and need to be resized to fill the screen before I make them public.

I did lots of testing on my own devices, though releasing code into the wild always results in bugs popping up, so please post here if you experience any.

I will be working towards improving the movies page for the next few weeks, here’s a roadmap for improvements I currently plan to add:

• Add video embed link
• Make browsing video pages faster by moving from server side to client side paging
• Add Search Feature
  • By Name
  • By Category
• Improve Style of page
• Add Youtube videos to the movies archive
• Add animated preview for videos

I started re watching those vids a couple weekends ago. At least the ones that would load. Pretty cool to look back at all the shenanigans from years ago. And a lot of the projects that were tons of work like the Frid.

I have added an embed link under the videos so you can share the videos. You should be able to simply tap the link to copy it. You will know it worked if you see the “Copied!” message above it. If that doesn’t work for some reason you can also copy the link as you would conventionally.

Once you have copied the link you can paste it on the forums and it will auto-magically embed into your post, for example:
