Sounds like Luis is going to start making the mats again in about a week.  He’s posted the order numbers in the sequence they were ordered, so Juan can check against that to see how far out his are from getting made.  Hopefully you’re just looking at a few weeks.

so you received the rechrome parts,.. 😀😀😀😀😎,.. I`m excited to see the wheels with the hub caps and rings,…. the door handles look nice chrome,… 👏👏👏

Not all of the chrome. Just the door handles came back.

I am having problems with the lock cylinder retaining screw. The chrome plating damaged the tiny 2.5mm threads. I ordered a special tap to clean them.

We also received the brass horn contact ring today.

2.5mm tap did the trick. Door handles ready to install.

I thought we had 58 door stops. Looks like this car has some of the earliest later type door check straps. Starting in 59.5. We need to order kq-837-25k from hog

56-57 like beetle

58 spring and roller type

59.5-74 rubber strap and pins.

Thanks for the information Franz,… I`m totally convinced to restore a KG is sooo difficult, many details and there is a few places where you can find the parts.
