Getting so close. I will call tomorrow about chrome. * edit-called on chrome; door handles in transit, beauty rings and hub caps soon

Is the rubber floor mat coming along?

Also, I have a list of items we need to complete. Some have been on back order with HOG for a couple weeks.

    – interior garnish trim (door and quarter tops)

    – window divider trim.

-rear defrost tube long length 30mm diameter

    -speedometer cable

-rear seat strap and hold down plate.

-window winder knobs. Should this car have KG knob profile?

-brass contact ring for the horn…We are missing this part. Item number 16 below. Maybe this is the same part as a beetle?

Just FYI….John Copellos sells a really nice 58/59 horn rebuild kit if you need more than the brass ring.  These pieces can be like hen’s teeth.

That mat kit may be a while.  They’re worth waiting for though as the quality of mine is top notch, they’re “correct” for the car, and are otherwise unobtainable.  Juan may want to email Luis and see if he’s looking at weeks or months before his set is done.

Here’s the latest from Luis of Low Light Werks, posted on 9/18 on The Samba:

    Dear Karmann Ghia lovers,

This post took longer that I wanted. I have been working on a plan to resume production as soon as possible, to fulfill all pending orders.
Finally, I see light at the end of the tunnel! A VW enthusiast has offered me his help to accomplish this. With his support, Low Light Werks will be able to work fulltime to continue fulfilling orders and taking new ones!
We are working on the paperwork and should be completed shortly. As soon as I can, I will post a projected delivery schedule.

I really appreciate your support and patience. Over a year ago I made the goal to reproduce the Low Light bulkhead mat, that wasn’t available for over 50 years! It was harder than I ever expected, fortunately, today this is a reality and owners that received their set really love them!

Thank you again for your support!

    Luis
