    Here you go, Juan.  It looks like the easiest way to tell is the earlier bumper has an extra inch past the side captive plate as seen below (found on The Samba).  The shorter later has the captive plate almost at the bumper end.  It looks like Franz’s and yours are both later.  The good news is the longer bumpers changed to short in 67 (along with a wider redesign of the rear fender well, thus the shorter bumper length), so 66 and earlier should work and hopefully not too hard to find (as opposed to being lowlight specific).

    Working on making this a complete pan. Steeing box disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and filled with moly grease.

    Yes. More parts going together. Original tie rods with grease zerks were in good condition. We fully serviced them. Very nice original steering coupler too.

    yes Franz, I left an original set red shocks in KCW, they have to be on the floor pan or under the KG shell.

    I bought some front shocks and sway bar bushing/clamps from WW.

    Wheel bearings packed with grease, drums installed and brakes adjusted. New e-brake cables too.
