Juan…. I was thinking shiney black…. Like usual… Pats finishing the last bit of grinding, then it will go on the pan dolly, get dusted off and moved back in the dirty shop, a little body work and priming, and hopefully paint tomorrow or Saturday!!!! I have no plans… I’ll be here… 😎John JonesKeymasterOctober 25, 2018 at 11:13 amPost count: 6889

Wow, is it just me or do Ghia pans have way more details than a standard beetle pan? I have never seen one like this before and just seems like way more ridges and lines. Still it’s a beautiful thing!JbParticipantOctober 26, 2018 at 1:18 pmPost count: 633PeteParticipantOctober 26, 2018 at 2:20 pmPost count: 912
Juan….did you ever order a set of the mats for your Ghia from Low Light Werks? If so check this out:
The guy making them is also going to produce the tar boards to fit under the mats and over the tunnel so the mats will lay properly. He just recently added the fiber mats to his web site so if you haven’t yet you may want to order a set of those to go with your mats (assuming you did order them).
This is shaping up to be perfect timing for you…you’re restoring an early Ghia back to 100% stock and you’ll be one of the first to be able to do that with correct rubber floor mats instead of a carpet kit.Juan 59 DDWTParticipantOctober 26, 2018 at 3:33 pmPost count: 297
Pete, I already did, but there are pending to be shipped, but thank you very much for the tar board infomation, I
m getting contact with the supplier to make the order for the tar board,.. and yes its the perfect time to order the tar board,… Thanks Pete!! 👍John JonesKeymasterOctober 27, 2018 at 6:59 amPost count: 6889
Pat was loving on your pan all day yesterday…. It’s getting better and better!!!! Pan work is funny…. When I first get it painted… the top side seems to be the most important. Cause your starring at it while your assembling.. But once you get a body on it, some carpet or mats and seats…. the bottom side is actually more important.. or maybe I should say the only thing you can see…… 😎 So Pat started on the bottom side…. well make it the nicest…. 😎volksaddictParticipantOctober 27, 2018 at 7:51 amPost count: 638
