Here is what I would do.

New aluminum case

84mm VW journal crank

New AA THICK WALL 92mm P&C’s

web218 advanced 2deg.

9.0 compression

CB Panchitos, with the 61cc chamber option, and dual springs.

CB magnaspark dist kit.

Using the CB online compression calculator that means you will need a .052″ deck height.  Not super ideal, but at least it isn’t .152″.  If you wanted to get slightly tricky, just turn a small 2cc dish in the piston tops on the lathe, and dial the deck down to .040″.  I do this on lots of engines.  Closer to .045″ the better for anti-pinging, crisp throttle response, lower head temps, and easier tuning.

You will have a 2234cc with the thickest toughest cylinders available.  Off the shelf awesome coolest running heads available, the compression is matched to the cam, and your elevation.  You will need 91 gas when you get down to sea level, but it is worth the extra $3/tank, and the 91 is usually the stuff without ethanol.  Run it a 28deg. fully advanced.  This would be a twin to the giant limo bus engine I built.  Keep your big oil cooler, and make sure the engine is assembled correctly.  Correct bearing clearances make a huge difference in oil pressure.  NO high pressure chrome relief valve springs, and no giant 30mm oil pumps needed!!!!

 

Remember….low compression doesn’t equal cooler running. 😉

Looks like with 61cc heads and the smaller cc engine helps a bunch also… .045 deck with 61cc heads and 2234 come out to 9:1  Brian, your right..  I get hung up on my 2332…  and 61 is a big head cc…    I am drinking the koolaid.. I think I will call Tiger and see about a complete 5/8 system..  I hope I can still get away with good heat building boxes under my heads..  and I will ask for the web cam and big cc heads… I guess I should ask for Panchito’s…  😎

Good plan.

Make sure they are real Panchito’s with the CNC chamber option, and dual springs.  Not some off the shelf big valve head with a semi-hemi cut chamber.  I would also recommend CB lightweight lifters with the Web cam.

So I finally talked to the guys at Painters… Mag case.. 8mm studs..

The web cam… They said they wear out lifter bores…?????. 😎  😎  😎  We will try to reuse my engle 110.   We will see what Ross thinks about my lifters I used the dremel on them to cut them three slots berg style????  😎  😎  😎

Heads… I am gonna go hemi cut, cause thats the only way on earth to get 61 or 62 cc heads….. Big valve..  I am not convinved on the Pinchito revolution. and 8.5 compression.  with a tight deck!!!!  😎  😎  8)  😎

Cylinders… thick walled 92’s….  with Mahle piston’s…

84 crank, old one, stock flywheel, clutch etc… heavy pully, balanced… 😎  45 dells.. I guess I should get a 1/5/8 exhaust and heaterboxes, empty ofcourse, and a webasto!!!!!!!  😎  😎

My dually has been needing some love for months… but I been so busy driving busses and having fun… 😎   There is nothing like driving a bus. nothing.

Weston swapped my front rims out for me, and changed my oil and helped me find my gas leak!!!  I had atleast one injector leaking..  WHY?  Cause there are some tabs broken on the fuel rail that hold the injectors straight and keep em from leaking…  The whole right side is broke…  and guess what… this fuel rail and clips.. No Longer Available!  I see the last hands in there used some zip ties that worked great for a bunch of years… I am going to redo it and add a few…..  😎   Get this big bad bitch driving around again!!!!!  😎  Maybe I should drive this to Texas?  😎

This has been a really good week for me.  Back to working 8 hours a day without any real pains…  and I worked on my shit all weekend so far… 😎  Fun shit… and with minimal Will and Glenn bothering me… cause them dumb asses got so drunk Friday, Saturday was almost a waste.. 😎 😎  😎  It’s tough being 24 years old.. 😎

Dually is mechanically dialed in again… SWEET!!!!  Love my truck!!!  I enjoyed seeing a few lowered dually’s out at Octo!!!  😎  It’s NOT just me… 😎 Slammed dually’s are sick… 😎  I zip tied that shit doubled em up and put it all back together like it was.. Fired right up, runs perfect, NOT leaking gas…. 😎  😎  😎

Now I am working on the kombi… we beat her up in Cali!!   I think I found that weird sound I couldn’t pin point… exhaust cracked AGAIN…  Looks like it already has been fixed, and with thicker angle.. I think it needs a larger foot print!!!  I have done this like 3 times on the pamper too… 😎  😎  Only way you can crack that is by actually driving your shit.. 😎  Dropping all fluids and checking valves..   Look how good that engine bay looks after a big trip like that.. 😎

Kombi should be dialed for action again today!!!  Time to start working on the pamper!!!!!!

hahahhahahhahaha…..  I used one inch by 1/8 strap and wrapped that bitch ALL the way around it like a clamp!! No more breaking…. 😎

Plowed some snow in the dually last night… love having my truck fixed again!!  the heat fucking ROCKS in that rig…. 😎  It actually drives great in the snow…. big block up front, and 26 gallon fuel cell behind my rear axle!!!!   😎  Who knew my body dropped semi wheel truck would be my favorite winter cruiser…  Most of them guys put them away for the winter…. 😎

Awesome weekend hanging out at the shop!!  Been a year since I could work.. and been about 10 years since I could work without pain….  Thanks Doc!!!!  My back is doing so damn good… 😎

So… after I get my last youth Dude Ranch KCW experience done in  few weeks… I plan on working on my truck next.. Although.. the Pamper motor being done would trump most everything.. Maybe even helping my Youths…  😎  😎  😎

I want to complete the big rig look on the front of my truck with a Visor… 😎  can’t decide which one… leaning towards low in the middle and going up to the outside..but not set yet… Wondering if I should just buy one and modify it.. or fab it all…..

these 22’s rub on my A arms when I turn… but they re DAMN good SPARES!!!!  😎  Talk about back spacing!!   This truck, when they put on the semi wheels.. they went to a  3/4 ton hub to pull the tire in… then made the arms longer for more lift…. 😎  Everything has been modified to make it work right… You gotta have mad lift to be able to drive with the 24″ wheels…. 😎   My driver dually… 😎  Work truck…hahahaha

Ditch the heavy heater boxes and use the Autonomous cabin diesel air heater Eberspacher Airtronic D4 12V with installation kit and digital controller Easy Start Select
8 hours on less than a gallon of fuel . Alternative heat is key.. Add an extra battery and battery isolator for the max output. Stay well glad your getting better and moving around take care.
