yeah…  I am sure my shit is worn out….  it’s still running..  sounds like it’s missing on one🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄.  I dunno..  I think I wanna tear it apart and go back through it all☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️   But that does Not mean… I want a subi motor!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁.   Ben told me I should keep Audreys old Vanagon and road trip it, I almost fell out of the chair he suggested it…..  I must have been high or something😁😁😁😁😁😁   If I agree to road trip it, will Andy be my mechanic no matter where I break…😁😁😁😁😁

I’m at 9:1 it runs  on 89 octane 😜 I think my heads are 65cc? Could get more I’m sure if you HAD to run like 8:1

well, now that I have road tripped my motor a few times…. I can tell you, by the seat of my pants and the temp of my heat!, that lowering compression down even to 6.9 did not seem to have any positive effects and possibly negative🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. I know my Kombi is like 9 to 1 and it runs cool😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. I’m going back to a normality compression next time😁😁😁😁

 

well I am in official quarantine now… countdown to surgery next Monday morning…6:30 am check in!   Can’t wait to get this in process!!!!!   They gave me the Covid test today…   Deep penetrating q tip inserted till the bottom side of your brain is getting tickled😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤

A few more days….  😕😕😕😕😕

decided I had to get out of the house today..  messed with Pamper.  Found a tight exhaust valve on number 1 and a fouled plug to go along with it.  Points were super tight, anyway blasted the plug put it in, purr.ed😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. It also doesn’t seem to leak unless I get it super fing hot… opppps.  I probably should get a new main seal for good measure… 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉. And of course the oil and filter…  but otherwise…  I’d trust it for another trip.  I’d like to do a lighter weight trip on the bus to see if my heat goes down….  maybe a quick trip to telluride😁😁😁😁

Did I hear you say something about ditching the 6.0 compression? 😳😂

Pull it apart and get some decent heads on it!!  Josh’s heads have 65cc chambers. I can also dish pistons to gain another 5cc.  You can do the math.

Good quality new casting heads, 8.5, .040 deck and leave your w110 cam if you must.  It will be a night and day difference. It will run cooler and make more power.

What size header do you have?

trying to sit around and prep for this crazy surgery I have in two days.  Rest, hydrate real good probably try not to walk out of the house Happy back easier surgery?      I must admit.. I’m a little nervous 😉 I mean.. shit happens…
