I’m pretty sure that Bus came out of Colorado.  It used to belong to Wes Taylor who had several really interesting cars.  There can’t be many Dove Blue Deluxes.

 

From what I can remember, he told me that he had found the original owner through some research (he was into that sort of thing) and that the owner told him the Bus had completely flipped over and landed back on it’s wheels during his ownership, hence the paint job.  The OG owner told him that the only thing that hit on the roof was just over the cab.  Wes went back, looked under the headliner and there was the dent!

I did get a shit ton done on my rail last weekend and some during this week too..   I was going to buy some aluminum for the floor.. but I think after I weld tabs all around, and bolt the aluminum in with steel hardware and lock nuts…  I can drill some holes in these ghia floors and plug weld them on!!!  then drill out all the low area’s for and drainage.. 😎  and free… 😎

Floors and then some paint!!! 😎  I’m gonna go bright orange!

Duane and I ran out to white wash sand dunes Friday. High winds and no moisture.  Stuck the rail right away and covered ourselves in sand. Way to soft with all the blow sand. Steep drop offs. Our trails dissapeared right away. The conditions sucked. We loaded back up and came home.

well that sucks!!! We need some moisture huh??!!!??  I bet my baja would suck out there in that… I’d get stuck like crazy…

Well  I worked on my shit yesterday… and Franz mixed me up some orange.. so I painted it too!!! it sucked painting. glad it’s done.. 😎 almost as bad as painting a roof rack!!! 😎   I like my drilled ghia pans… 😎
