So… another road trip, another thought on things… I love my raised beam.. love it!!! Not one rub whole trip!!! But, with all this extra front suspension travel, the leaning in the turns is possibly worse…. so I am back to thinking those bilsteins might just be the ticket!!!! I do like the soft ride, but not all the chassis roll. Love my 3.44 r/p. Love my 2332.. I see no reason to build any other combo unless you just don’t want the best combo, prefer going slow and like being under powered.
after the first drive in my bus after adding adjusters and dropping the cradle, the body roll was shitty. I then added front/rear sway bars and damn, what a huge difference. Im also thinking about Bilsteins as the shocks on mine may be at the end of their stroke and I don’t wanna pop a shock mount off.
I’d recommend the bilsteins so far. Only did about 20 min of driving on them in town before pulling my motor, but they seem to help with body roll and are still soft when you go big jumping the train tracks…. haha
i’m gonna put them Bilsteins back on… I often think about a sway bar… but with the arm angle… I’m not sure it will work… Wayner.. What did you do for a sway bar???
Been a wild ride, but it got me here 😎
I used the Empi 7/8” front bar for splitty, used the urethane mount that came with it coupled with a slightly modified bug sway bar band clamp and a couple u bolts from the hardware store for the end clamps. On the rear I used the Empi 3/4” bug swing axle sway bar kit. Welded a couple plates for the center mounting. Will post up some pics tonight if it helps to make sense.

Are you going to be able to run a pedal pan?

God I hope so. Was waiting to finish up with dual circuit and disc brake install. Looked like a close fit after I got the master installed. Gonna finish it all up tonight.
The pedal pan fit it’s tight, but clears. The dual circuit master cylinder was a bigger issue with clearance in the pan. Had to massage that a little to fit. I also attached a picture of the sway bar end clamp u-bolt.
well hell!!!! Franz…. Order us some 7/8 empi sway bars!!!!

So how’s John doing? Hopefully recovering well.
I’m fine.. Back is feeling better.. I’m thinking about doing some work today.. bolt on easy stand up stuff… No bending, twisting or lifting… 😎

Good to hear this John ! But do take it easy.
How’d you break out of bed? Gretchen should’ve tied you to it! Haha glad to hear you’re feeling better 👍🏼
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 always so funny that anyone thinks I can control John!!!! No BLT for him!! (Bending, lifting, twisting) but, really he does seem more mobile🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I love going on adventures in our bus!!!
Feeling better each day…. I think what hurts more than anything is the entrance wound….. 😎 😎 I think they cut through some muscles.. and now that it’s been 5 days…. I’m feeling better.. 😎 It was a remove and trim job this go around.. Decompress the spine job… Sitting around is not good for me….
