Be kind of fun to leave all the welds showing and unfinished, just paint. Easier too…
GREAT IDEA!!!!!!!!ππππππ
push a little, measure, push some more, hammer a bit, then weld, cool, hammer, repeat for days πΒ oh and the doors open better than ever!! πPat and JJ have kicked ASS on this the last 5 daysβ¦ thatβs right only 5 days ago it was pushed into the shop!!! Thatβs how KCW rolls π₯π₯π₯
ππππππππ
Iβve got most the welding done now… Β Β Iβve spent most of the last 5 days on this.. Β I need a break… Β and I need to get back to earning some $$$$$$$$$$$$$&πππππ. I think I spent the last month pushing my shit forward.
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
This carβ¦ I canβt wait till it hits the top of my list againβ¦ I just couldnβt bring myself to work on this until I got my truck more sorted outβ¦ which is happening!!! Slowly but surelyβ¦ I really want to keep the 1131 Oval racing!!!
Back to life!!! πΒ Β 2 months till KOH!!!
We cut right through the wiring harness cutting the roof off… 8-(Β Opps… π
Things I HAVE to get done before KOH…
1)Need to run a new harness… πΒ easy… 6 whole wires to the back… π
2)Trans, needs a new diff and reinstalled.. quaffie I hope…. π I think a quaffie should be legal for swing cars!!!
3)Thinking I need to limit my rear suspension… No more positive camber!!!Β fuck… πΒ maybe 1 degree??Β I should try and drop the back of my trans to equal the type 1 nose cone…Β Β drop the back 1 1/4 inch’s.Β That would also help keep some suspension, while getting rid of positive camber..Β I spent 20 years fighting negative camber and raising tranny’s,,, now I want to drop the trans π
Pretty fucking funny how things come and go and come back again… πΒ Can’t leave anything stock!!! π π π NO WAY!
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
KOH is in February βthis year! Β I got almost 3 months!! Β Easy peasy!!!ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
I just realized something else. Β Putting those shaved 7.0βs on was like running 3.5βs on the ground.. Β Β a wider tire has more leverage over the torsions and my car sat lower when I ran those bus tires…
an exagerated example would be when I took the Sand scorcher to the dunes. Β I took off Yokβs And put on some paddles. Β When I took off, My car squatted sooo bad I needed some coil overs on it!!!!
Wider tires aid in getting it down some.
And I simply donβt need that much ground clearance!!!! Β Iβm bringing it down ALL the way aroundππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»β β β
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
JJ has to learn all the lessons himself, no matter how many times the others racers advise him against something hahahaΒ The evolution of this car through all the races has been fun to see and experienceΒ ππ»π
each race we go out more prepared and practiced ππ»ππ»ππ» Β KOH π₯
The more we do, the more we can know about where we started and with all that knowing we can know where we want to go. But that part between where we start and where we go is often the best part anyhoo. Good job!

Hey, he takes a lot of pride in that fact! Even if the advice he gets is solid!!
Stubborn I guess…Β Β πΒ I’m gonna make some changes.. π
I gotta do something. π
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
Gonna work on this after my regular shift πππππ
ground the roof down when I got home yesterday… Β looking goodππ»ππ»ππ»
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
Progress…
Been a wild ride, but it got me here π
This car not only takes multiple hits but comes back prettier than the rest for the next thrashing.
Do you know what days the actual Class 11 event is at KOH, or is that TBD?
The race is 6pm, Sat, Feb 4 2023.

We will build it if it comes.
