makes me smile that it makes you smile!!!  We are helping each other out!!

Got my trans choice back together.  This is the one I had in at Glenn Helen… I heard the lug nuts hitting the wheel cylinder and clunking, Loose drum!!!!   it made me think I had an internal problem.  But I am pretty sure I was wrong and it is al fine.  It does have some Chunks out of the bottom from GNARSTOW!!!!!  I am going back to short axle with this rig.  I think the short axle will work better with my spring plate, torsion arm set up I have.  It will have less leverage on my shit.  Less chance of bending, and dd to my spring rate.  I know I am pulling the tires in, but I think I need to anyway.   want the tire to hit the body before my spring plate actually bottoms out…    So… Using what I have here..Picking out the 2nds and making them my firsts…. 😎  and I am going back to the correct size wheel cylinder and correct length lug nuts… Possibly studs…

    anyway..

I have always been a fan of studs over bolts. On our dirt trackers we used slightly larger size because we had some troubles breaking stock diameter size.

Got them pesky studs for my mid mount and will have a tranny in it this weekend!!! 😎  Then go through the front end and get it back in..  following weekend… unless I get some wild hairs up my ass… but I rarely get them anymore… 😎 😎 😎

Great weekend on the class 11!!!   I got my spindles rebushed and ready to go back together this morning… I have the heavy duty of everything! I need to fix that broken zurk!  I love my OG steel tie rods…  also need to make some new straps for my spring plate retainers… they got bent, and with short axle, I will hit it.  I need some beam bushings now and I can put the fresh front end back together!!! I welded shock mounts and cleaned up some dumb shit,,,,

I think my car is pretty tight again…

I looked at King Of The Hammers… and I am not sure my hammer is big enough to go play with them boys… Entry is $1700, by the end of the week…8-)  For one night race…. ummm,,, I dunno about that one… fuck..

WTF?!?!?!?!?! Did you mean to say that they are giving you $1700 bucks to take your time, travel and beat the shit outta the race car you paid for and built yourself so that they can even have participants in their race event????🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

    Short block assembled.

It only had the Crandon race on it, So like 15 minutes…everything looked pretty good.

We wanted make more hrspwrs. Our stock VW carburetor rules allow for high octane 110 fuel. Dennis/Tim/Richard Sletten said that 13.5 : 1 compression works.

Painter’s Grinding built our heads and decked them for 28cc. We should be golden with .030” deck and +.100” valve/piston interference.

More compression means that a bigger camshaft will run better. Up a size to Engle Vz-15 per Sletten advise.

Hoover cam/lifter/oil galley mods + piston oil squirters, and 6 shuffle pins. Done by Rimco.

The top end should stay cool and it should rip. Stoked on the assembly.👌

I drilled out the case oil inlet fittings too. Restriction=bad

I love seeing all the little racing tricks that have been developed to push these cars to the limit. Thanks Franz
